If you’re planning a rustic chic wedding, Lakes Region Tent & Event now offers farmhouse tables. Our handmade “Classic-Rustic” plank style farm tables are made of pine and stained a warm walnut. Each 104×40 inch table seats 10 guests with chairs. We recommend our wooden ballroom chairs or natural wood padded folding chairs to pair with the tables.
Another approach to bring the rustic look to your wedding is the use of burlap linens. We have them for both round and rectangular tables.

How do wedding websites, bridal shops, wedding planners and the entire wedding industry know what the next BIG color trend will be? Pantone. Pantone is the absolute leader in color trend. Yes there is a company that does this! Typically industries from printing, packaging, photography, graphic design, paints, plastics, and more look to Pantone for inspiring, selecting, measuring, formulating, communicating and matching color.
If you’re a 2012 bride and still deciding what colors will envelope your special day, you can look to www.pantone.com for inspiration. The Spring 2012 Color Report was announced this fall. According to Pantone, for spring 2012, “designers are inspired by diverse influences, showcasing a range of styles and lifestyles – from free and playful to light and breezy, and contemporary classics. Colors likewise reflect these differing moods, encapsulating vivid brights, fun-loving pastels and soft, muted tones.”

I and my wife had the unique opportunity to be invited to an event last weekend, hosted under one of our tents. Warren and Renay Colby, owners of GMI Asphalt, threw a fabulous party at their home in Gilford, featuring the culinary delights of Magic Food Productions Catering run by Scott Ouellette, of O’s Steaks and Seafoods, Canoe, etc., and the new country sounds of the Eric Grant Band.

To preserve the fabulous view of Lake Winnipesaukee we installed 10’ side poles onto the 40 x 60 tent.

The Eric Grant Band loved our tent and the opportunity to flash their light show onto the tent top.
A big thank you to the Colby’s for inviting us (and for choosing us to tent their event). It was a great night and we would have rocked the night away with the rest of the guests, but we had to get back and relieve the babysitter.
We are so excited to see Liz and Brooke’s Wedding as a featured “real wedding” in New Hampshire Magazine’s BRIDE Fall/Winter 2011-2012 issue, which recently hit magazine racks across NH. We blogged about the couple’s stunning Wolfeboro wedding back in Oct 2010. Our tent was the backdrop for the amazing reception. Check out the online issue here.
This morning we had the pleasure of seeing Spencer & Laurie’s July wedding, which featured one of our high peaked tents, highlighted on Style Me Pretty. The photos of the wedding were taken by Mat & Ash Photography. The event was held at The Margate in Laconia and planned by Meagan Gilpatrick at Maine Seasons Events. We were excited to be a part of such a stunning event.

Many of the brides and grooms we work with choose the Lakes Region for their special day because it holds a sentimental place in their heart. Often they spent their summers as a child on the lake; and maybe they continue to visit as an adult. Regardless, the scenery just can’t be beat. I recently had relatives visit from California and words like ‘lush’ and ‘green’ and ‘scenic’ were common words I heard while we toured the area. As a local I can’t help but be proud of the natural beauty that engulfs this part of the country.
Lakes Region Tent & Event serviced two weddings this July 4th weekend. As I and my family waited for the fireworks to begin in Center Harbor, NH, I couldn’t help but smile as I enjoyed an amazing sunset over Winnipesaukee and thought of what a memorable sight these newlyweds and their guests were experiencing.
